Despite drama, which I've concluded is a basic essential to all human life, my current situation is incredibly good.

I'm winding down on writing my own blogging software, and through laziness, I'm trying to widdle my online presense to about 2 or 3 sites.

Due to the fact that half of my dear friends consider themselves 3l33t and won't use things such as myspace or blogger.com or even orkut (whatkut?), and the other half is tirelessly addicted to myspace, I have found myself in a conundrum.

What to update? God only knows. I'm just going to have to redo the old home page again. Coming this month, the new and improved malkavian.com. Until then, I can be found at the following places:

http://www.myspace.com/gabeos (updated frequently)

It has been over a month since I last posted, mostly because of various dramatic episodes currently happening in my life.

I've been pouring a ton of work into my business, mostly on the electronic side (hey, what can I say, I find that the easiest to tackle!) Now, after hours of work, my company has a presense:

http://www.paradisegames.biz/

Yes, it's a dot biz domain. Big whoop. I'm so tired of the InterNIC and people paying $10914039401984013984 for their favorite name. I chose something close, and used the .biz. Cheap, easy, sexy. If you somehow wandered here looking for Paradise Games, go to the link above.

I've also been working on some openRPG game development in order to host a game with my old gaming group, running the game locally from Amsterdam and having the Californians connect to my server in order to play. Fun fun fun! I wish my schedule wasn't back-asswards from everyone elses, but that's the price you pay living in Paradise. (Amsterdam, not the other Paradise.

Anyhoo, I'll throw up some pictures of recent events for all of you who think I fell off the planet.

I hate myspace. Well, I don't hate it, but I don't like the fact that it's basically the home depot for stalkers. Then again, it seems that I'm quite suprised when anyone mentions something on my website has changed, or asks me a question about an article I wrote. The internet is supposed to be a well of free information, but are we making it too easy to learn a lot about ourselves without asking where the information is going?

I don't know -- It's probably some of the American paranoia in me, which I'm trying hard to lose, but we seem to be losing caution and privacy out the same window as the bathwater.

At home things are going well. I've been a hotel over the last 2 months and I'm finally winding down to just one guest. Not that I mind _AT ALL_ when people come to visit. It's the best experience for me in many ways, but I forget that I like silence for weeks at time. :)

Back on the homefront, in California, my Mom is recovering nicely after an accident which crushed her leg above the ankle. She'll be walking in 2 months, and is confident that she will make a full recovery.

I had a great visit with my brother, Thom, Ian, Jeff, Mike, Lindsay, Gia, and .. that's it. :) Thanks for coming out everyone (Lindsay, you don't count _yet_ as you are still here. When you leave, you get your thanks! )

Time to start churning on the business. I'm in the yellow pages now in Amsterdam. :)

It's been a while, I know. People started wondering if I was dead. No, not dead .. a bit reborn in fact, but these are the things that happen to me that I really can't explain too well without words. Words can only convey less than 5% of the meaning of your emotions, and much less about your spirituality, so I will say that part of me was reborn, and let you figure it out.

My friends have become sucked into D&D Online. I don't have a PC so I haven't even really heard about it. I'm currently sucked into my XBOX360, but it appears that none of my friends back home have bothered to pick it up yet. (Brywood/Randki are the notable exceptions)

My cousin Lindsay rolled through Amsterdam and we had a really fun time getting to know each other again, as well as 'marking our territory' in Amsterdam. Singing Johnny Cash on the 'gracht was a grand time. She'll be back soon, I'm hoping.

My brother and his friends Jeff and Mike are both out here currently, and they've enjoyed their stay so far. They plan to travel, but A'dam has a way of grabbing hold and keeping you.

My vacation: My buddy was in the hospital 4 days after we began the vacation with a twisted stomach. At the same time, my other friend on vacation had her father go on the operating table with very low chances of pulling through. As I wondered what else could possibly go wrong, I was pleasantly suprised to see both of them pull through.

I've returned to a pile of mail and email. I need to get so much done that over the next week I'll be hard to contact.

My buddy Thom will be here soon .. a matter of days in fact. I can't wait. I'm still working on my cat situation (should have been done while I was gone, but I had no friggin email.)

My business will be doing much better as soon as Thom gets here to help me with the business plan. :D

Much has gone on over the last two or three weeks (has it been that long?) since I've posted anything, and I can completely blame myspace as the result. I've been having fun tracking down friends and writing messages, although I am in no way as addicted as my younger cousin, who is attached at the hip to it. ;)

Tonight, we watch the olympics and I think of:

- a girl that doesn't think of this.
- Scott hooking up with someone I worked with. Wow.
- I start Dutch lessons on Monday.
- We are having Morrocan pancakes(?) for dinner.
- Thoughts of reprogramming the forum have crossed my mind.
- New Xbox360 is a hoot.
